I have several of Patrick Foster's books. AM General certainly produced a wide variety of vehicles from buses to postal vehicles to military trucks and the Hummer.

I'll start with the caveat that I enjoy Pat Foster's work in every venue that I've stumbled across him. And I don't necessarily blame him for my major critique of this book.

This is a nice reference book for some of the history of AM General with nice accompanying photos to compliment the text. It's not a definitive hummer book, but will give some important distinctions regarding the different models and some unique variants.
